// about bitfiction
A small practice for the agentic era of infrastructure.
BitFiction was founded on a simple observation: DevOps is no longer a pipeline, it's a loop — and increasingly, an agent sits inside it. The work that keeps a business running now includes deciding which decisions a machine is allowed to make, and how a human takes the wheel when it shouldn't.
We work with teams putting agents into production: autonomous deployments, self-healing infrastructure, long-running workflows that have to be safe to retry. We get in the room with your engineers, figure out what's actually breaking, and ship fixes alongside them — not from a distance.
We're deliberately small. Every engagement is staffed by people who will still be answering your questions six months later — long after the agent has merged its hundredth PR.
Based in Bratislava, working with teams globally.
How we work
Loops over launches
Modern systems aren't shipped, they're iterated on by agents and humans in a tight loop. We design for the loop, not the launch.
Always a human escape hatch
Every autonomous step we ship has a way to pause, override, and roll back from a single command. Agency without an off-switch isn't engineering — it's gambling.
Reversible by default
Migrations, deploys, agent actions, feature flags — if you can't undo it in five minutes, we haven't shipped it yet.
Observability is not optional
Every loop we ship can be diffed, replayed, and queried from day one. If you can't see it, you can't trust an agent to run it.
